In Re[Collect], A Botanical Album (2024–ongoing) I bring closure to the explorations and collaboration with my daughter in Collecting Nature. In this project, I revisit the collected items, re-catalog them, and preserve them in a wooden box while exploring how they have transformed over the years. Ecofacts collected in a specific month are documented in a cyanotype, reflecting on a specific moment in time.
The cyanotypes are created on handmade paper, made from the pulp of my daughter’s drawings and paintings—artworks she gifted me or created with me during that period. Some pieces are also printed on family-owned baby blankets and bibs. Through this process, I explore how objects and materials hold memory and meaning, and their fragility.
