Short film about Venezuelan artist Carolina Otero and her work L’inframince presented at the Transart Foundation of Arts and Anthropology in Houston from November 2022 to January 2023.
The exhibition interweaves Otero's delicate and subtle artistic language, with her personal life, biography, and profound love for nature, art, and ancient cultures. Her artworks created during and after the COVID pandemic are characterized by their fragility, and barely perceptible essence; perfectly exemplifying the term L’inframince coined by Marcel Duchamp. The exhibition was accompanied by the music piece “Danza de una Flor de un Desierto” of Mercedes Otero (1985), which added a subtle yet significant dimension to the entire experience.
