Beatriz Bellorín

Collecting Nature (2021-2024) is a body of work that explores the bond between mother and daughter. It began with my daughter’s habit of gathering small treasures during our daily walks and offering them to me as gifts. These objects mark a stage in her early development—her first explorations of the world, her connection to nature, and her instinct to share. As soon as she began walking and gifting these findings to me, I started documenting these moments through images and archiving them. The archive now holds over 750 images of ecofacts collected.

To bring this collaboration with my daughter to a close and welcome a new stage in her development—while continuing to follow how our bond transforms—I began developing Re [Collect], A Botanical Album.
