1048 days is a video that recreates the period of breastfeeding of my daughter. A long journey that lasted for 1048 continuous days. Through photographs, videos, and audio recordings, I take a walk through an experience that encompasses a mixture of feelings and emotions ranging from joy, affection, fulfillment, and tranquility, to pain, sadness, fatigue, and exhaustion, but always mediated by dedication. It is a love letter to my daughter and a farewell to what was a space of bonding for both of us. With the film I aim to understand what this experience meant to me and to catch a glimpse of the bond that was woven between us. Thus, 1048 days aspires to create a connection with other mothers for whom this experience has mark them.
